Iv been a loyal customer since I discovered triple traders on Amazon and since then I’ve bought multiple fragrances for me and my fiancé. Recently, I bought oud for glory and asad but for some reason the oud for glory smelled like gasoline, iv sent a mail twice and tried to call but no response, this is really disheartening.
I watched several reviews on YouTube about this fragrance and the fragrance that it is supposed to be cloning. Admittedly I've never smelled Oud for Greatness. I get this delivered today. I was bubbling with excitement to try this fragrance. I bought a couple cheaper fragrances that I wanted to try first and this was going to be the grand finale. I washed my arm after each fragrance to make sure no scent was left behind. When I finally got to Oud For Glory, I was sadly disappointed. This does not smell good at all. Smells like a musty old basement with a dirt floor. Every fragrance that I bought in this haul was a disappointment as far as the smell goes. They were all blind buys and 3 of them were really cheap at $6 or less, but this one was priced at $24 here and even higher on Amazon and other sites. For your own good, DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS. It is not good at all. I'd say it was the worst that I've ever smelled but I also got Midnight Oud in this haul and that is slightly worse. These are even worse than Encre Noir. Worst in my collection of maybe 30 fragrances. I'll never wear OFG or Midnight Oud so that's $30 wasted.
Is it a good clone? I haven't experienced much of the original. (Meaning I don't own it...nor have I worn it to experience the transition of the notes.) But I do know it stands remarkably tall when compared with the opening notes. I have it as being comparable to Haltane by Parfum De Marley as well. I was introduced to Haltane by a salesperson and after getting a whiff for the first time, I immediately said....this is just like Oud For Greatness by Initio. He smiled and said quietly, they are the same perfume house and complimented my nose. Little did he know, that I was speaking purely from my experience of Oud For Glory.
I have had this fragrance for over a year and I openly admit I have yet to really wear it out. It's a very unique scent I haven't really found an appropriate occasion to step out wearing it. It's a challenge to say the least. I also have Supremacy in Oud by Afnan and I much prefer Oud for Glory because its much more toned down.
Pretty similar to Al Haramain Oud Rouge but darker. When I say darker it doesn't mean dank or smells harsh. It's very wearable. Soo you get the sweetness but also with added safe oud. The oud in here is nothing like barnyard or fece. For example, Rasasi Faqat Lil Rijal is barnyard oud and is too much for me.
