This is a woody scent, that presents as completely feminine to my nose. There is a hint of rose, and a big dash of cinnamon and honey on top of a very woody profile. It has been a while since I’ve experienced crimson rocks by amouage, but this is a fairly close representation to my memory of that. Performance of Abraaj is wonderful, absolutely on par with its inspiration in that respect. It does open with a sharp slightly jarring pencil shaving quality, but very quickly it morphs into the sweetened spicy woody rose that is beyond addictive. I can’t stop smelling myself. This very much stands out from the crowd. But at the same time, is not challenging. You will just smell like you know your stuff.
Initially, yes, pencil shavings. Like a nostalgia blast of my old Sunday school with the rotary pencil sharpener. But within MINUTES, she warmed up to a gorgeous fresh cut wood fire and a bouquet of long stem roses that smelled nearly soap in a rustic cabin with my crush. 1,000/10 valentines scent and a perfect 10 any other day.
