Great fragrance, not what I was expecting though.

Al Areeq Gold had been on my list of blind buys for a while. This is sensual, mysterious, seductive. I’m not a big fan of the opening, but the dry down is amazing. Projection is pretty solid and I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. The only reason I gave it four stars vs five is, this is NOT an everyday scent. You really have to be in the mood and mindset to wear this but IT’S GOOD. Buy this.

Not quite what I expected, but still nice

This has a definite masculine edge, but I think I can still wear it. I may have to later it with something sweeter, but I do really like it. The most prominent notes to me are Frankincense, leather, and woody notes. It’s more dry than sweet, and it has an edge to it. I was hoping that it would be the saffron, tea, suede, and vanilla that would stand out the most, but I think the right audience will really enjoy this one. And I think I will too, just not as much as I had hoped I would.
