I've never owned the original, but i have sampled it, and i can say that this fragrance does a good job of getting in that realm. I wore it in the cold and in the warmer days; consistently, Des Tentations came through for me. Got a few compliments. Even if I didn't, it wouldn't stop me from wearing. Got my second up bottle last week; can't wait to get back to it!
Definitely a great alternative to Eros flame smells good !
Full disclosure I do not own Eros Flame, I do however have Eros EDP and much prefer this one. You can tell the Eros DNA is in Des Tenations, but for my nose Flame is a much better scent. This was a blind buy for me (thank you Neeb from aromatx) and a great one.
