I just found this fragrance house Maison De L'Avenir and was very impressed with my first purchase, Midnight Solstice which reminds me of Penhaligon's Halfeti and also has some qualities similar to Imperial Valley by Gissah.
The juice is high quality, niche level to my nose and the bottles are very substantial and high quality as well. Easily someone would mistake these fragrances for niche houses charging $250 and up per bottle.
As you can tell, I like dark, resinous Oriental fragrances and this one does not disappoint! My first impression was that this is next level quality way above other Arabian clone houses and was shocked because of the low price.
This fragrance is aromatic, well blended, clearly uses high quality ingredients and is Cedar forward with some light sweetness to balance everything. This is a Unisex fragrance and best for cooler weather. Projection is strong and seems to last very well and with maceration it should get even better. However, I have not tried it much because the end of Spring is the wrong season to wear this fragrance.
I sold my Penhaligon's Halfeti because the cedar note was making me sick. Here the cedar is prominent but not cloying. Overall I am so impressed with this blind buy I am planning to buy 5 or 6 more from the same line!
